CARRION CROW

CARRION CROW (Corvus corone) (See images below)
The carrion crow is native to Western Europe and East Asia. It is around 25 inches long, slightly smaller than the raven. It is considered ‘noisy’ because of its calling behavior. In addition to eating carrion, that crow will also eat insects or small mammals or eggs from other birds. Being a crow, they behave as others in their family with regards to waste in cities. They will also mob birds of prey to steal their catches. They are social birds, and the young might stay with the parents to help feed the next generation instead of finding a mate. Finally, as with many corvidae, they are quite smart and can devise creative ways of obtaining food.
