EASTERN IMPERIAL EAGLE

EASTERN IMPERIAL EAGLE (Aquila heliaca) – (See images below)
The Eastern Imperial Eagle is a large bird about 80 cm (30 in.) long with a wingspan of around 2 meters (7 feet). Females are larger than females. The plumage is generally medium brown with whitish fringes.
Tanzania is part of the wintering grounds of the Eastern Imperial Eagle. This majestic predator breeds in the southeast part of Europe and the middle of Asia. It is considered as vulnerable.
